AAE Student Organizations

AAESAC - The Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering Student Advisory Council (AAESAC)  facilitates interactions between the faculty and the student body, advises the administration on issues and concerns of students pertaining to AAE, and generally strives to enhance the educational experience.

Aero Assist - Aero Assist is the graduate student organization for the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University.

AIAA - The objective of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) is to advance the arts, sciences, and technologies of flight.

AUVSI - Purdue Student Chapter of Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) is an organization at Purdue University focused on the field of vehicular robotics. We aim to promote interdisciplinary cooperation among Purdue students through both social and technical projects and events.

Mars Society - Purdue Chapter - The Mars Society Purdue Chapter brings together all the students, faculty, alumni and professionals from Purdue who are interested in promoting the exploration of Mars and aims at organizing discussions, competitions and other activities related to it.

Purdue Aerial Robotics Team IEEE - The mission is to create an Unmanned Aerial System to compete in the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International Student Unmanned Air Systems Competition.

Purdue Orbital - Purdue Orbital strives to foster technical and professional skills by designing, building, and testing innovative solutions to complex problems in the space and defense industry.

Purdue Pilots - Purdue Pilots, Inc. (PPI) is a student run flying club at Purdue University that provides low-cost flight training and aircraft rentals to members.

Purdue Space Day - Purdue Space Day is an one day educational outreach program Organized by Purdue students, which provides students in grades 3-8 the opportunity to learn about STEM by participating in age-appropriate activities with a space theme.

Purdue Space Program - PSP, a Purdue SEDS chapter, is an organization for anyone who is passionate about space exploration and anything to do with the industry.

Sigma Gamma Tau - Sigma Gamma Tau is the honor society for Aerospace Engineering. It seeks to identify and recognize achievement and excellence in the aerospace field.

SLING - Space-Loving Individuals Negotiating Gravity is a recognized student organization where students simulate the dynamics of a space tether. 

Women in Aerospace - The purpose of Women in Aerospace is to provide undergraduate women in the aerospace engineering program educational, social, and professional opportunities. 

Zucrow Student Association - The Zucrow Student Association serves to represent the interests of Zucrow students and staff by providing historical context to lab activities, organizing social events, and maintaining resources for all students consistent with the research and development mission of our historical laboratory.
