A. M. King Aeronautics and Astronautics Scholarship
Established in 2009, Andrew M. King (AAE Ph.D. 1988) created this merit scholarship in support of the University's Presidential and Trustee Scholarships
Orrin Arthur Austin Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2005 by Lorraine Austin in honor and memory of her late husband Orin Arthur Austin (BSME '57)
Boeing Scholarship
The Boeing Company established the Boeing Scholarship in 2002. In accordance with the wishes of Boeing, the 4-year Boeing Diversity Engineering Scholarships aids recruiting outstanding women and minority students to Purdue
Elmer F. Bruhn Undergraduate Research Assistantship - (Funded by Lloyd and Rosalene Hackman)
Named after the School of Aeronautics & Astronautics founder, this assistantship was first awarded in 1997 and is made possible by a lead gift from AAE alumnus Lloyd Hackman (BSAE'52) and his wife Rosalene. Mr. Hackman was a student of Professor Bruhn.
William & Sally Dunton Scholarship
Bill & Sally (BSAE'50) met as AAE undergraduate students. In 2008, they established this merit scholarship in support of the University's Trustee & Presidential Scholarships.
David L. Filmer Scholarship
Prof. David L. Filmer, Adjunct Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics established the David L. Filmer scholarship in spring 2005. The scholarship will last for at least ten years and is for an undergraduate aeronautical and astronautical engineering student.
John & Linda Hayhurst Scholarship
Established in 2009, John (BSAAE 1969 & HDR 1998) & Linda Hayhurst established this merit scholarship in support of the University's Trustees & Presidential Scholarships.
Bob & Elly Hostetler scholarship
Established in 2009, Bob (BS Engineering Sciences) & Elly established this merit scholarship in support of the University's trustees & Presidential Scholarships.
Andrew Kasowski Scholarship
Andrew Kasowski (BSAAE'72) established this merit scholarship in support of the University's Trustees & Presidential Scholarships.
Warren G. Koerner Scholarship
The Warren G. Koerner Scholarships are made possible through an estate gift by Warren G. Koerner (BSME'42).
Hsu Lo Fund
Mrs. Kiahsuang Lo, the widow of former head Professor Hsu Lo, established an endowment to fund the Hsu Lo Scholarship/Fellowship Fund. This endowment will continue into perpetuity and honor Professor Lo for his contributions to the School and for his tireless efforts to help so many.
Peter Mueller Memorial Scholarship
Rudolph R. Mueller III and his wife Corinne Mueller established a memorial scholarship in October 2007 to honor their son Peter Blake Mueller who tragically died in a plane crash at the age of 14 in August 2005. Peter excelled scholastically and his passion was aviation. Peter's goal was to attend Purdue University and study aeronautical engineering. His dream was to design airplanes.
George & Patricia Palmer Scholarship
Established in 2009, George (Professor Emeritus AAE) & Patricia Palmer established this merit scholarship in support of the University's Trustees & Presidential Scholarships with funds donated by several former students in George's honor.
Gary & Sue Payton Scholarship
Former astronaut and Purdue alumnus Gary Payton (M.S.A.E.'72) and his wife Sue endowed a scholarship to help out-of-state students earn their engineering degree from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University.
Arthur S. Remson Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2002 by Linda Remson and her son Andrew E. Remson in honor and memory of the late Arthur S. Remson to provide scholarships to Aeronautical and Astronautical engineering students whose immediate family has served or is serving with the United States Military
John and Patricia Rich Scholarship
John Rich (B.S.A.E.'54) established the John L. and Patricia R. Rich Scholarship/Fellowship Fund in 1999 in memory of his late wife, Patricia, to provide scholarships and fellowships to top engineering students who have chosen Aeronautical Engineering as their specialty.
Herbert F. Rogers
Named for alumnus Herbert F. Rogers, it is awarded to Purdue AAE senior students who are deemed most worthy and deserving by his/her contributions to the growth of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics in fostering engineering as an academic discipline.
Space Shuttle Memorial Scholarship
Established in 1986, contributions from student organizations, alumni, and friends were used to establish the Space Shuttle Memorial Fund to honor the seven astronauts who died following the Space Shuttle Challenger accident.
David O. and Linda Schimmel Swain Scholarship
Established in April 2006, the David O. and Linda Schimmel-Swain Scholarship Program is intended to help the young people of Indiana have the same opportunities that David and Linda Schimmel-Swain received. Linda Schimmel-Swain is a 1963 Frankfort High School graduate and David Swain is a 1960 Lizton High School graduate.
Joe M. Umbreit Scholarship
A 1952 graduate of the School of Aeronautics & Astronautics, Joe provided an estate gift to the School in support of general undergraduate and graduate scholarships to deserving students.
Swenson Aeromodeler's Scholarship
Richard Swenson (BSAE'50) established this merit scholarship in support of the University's & Trustees Presidential Scholarships.
Marc Christopher Weaver Memorial Scholarship
The Mark Christopher Weaver Memorial Scholarship was established in July 2003 by Rick and Rita Weaver in memory of their late son Marc (BSAAE '94; MS '95). The scholarship indicates a preference for students who participate in the cooperative educational program, of which Marc was a part while at Purdue.
Wayne & Christine Willich Scholarship
Wayne (BSAE'60) & Christine established this merit scholarship in support of the University's Trustees & Presidential Scholarships.
Robert and Totsye Winslow Scholarship
The Robert A. & Totsye H. Winslow Scholarship was established by Robert (BSChE '43) & Totsye (former AE) Winslow to support needs-based junior and/or senior students in the School of Aeronautics & Astronautics or the School of Chemical Engineering.
