The team’s toy consisted of two remote control cars and two goals. The cars were controlled via smartphone and had a U-shaped ball holder attached to the front. Players would drive the cars around and attempt to push the ball into the opposing team’s goal. Once in the goal, a spring loaded mechanism would be released by the player, and the ball would be ejected back onto the playing field.

The main inspiration for the team’s final project came from the popular video game Rocket League. In this game, players compete with other players online and drive cars around an arena attempting to knock the ball into the opposing team’s goal. The team’s objective was to transform this idea from a virtual game into a physical toy.
