Stay connected to Purdue IE through LinkedIn
Those of us at Purdue's School of Industrial Engineering believe it benefits all involved to remain connected with our alumni. LinkedIn makes an excellent platform for us to do just that and it has the added benefit of allowing our alums to remain connected with each other and with new IE graduates just coming out of school!
If you're not one of the more than 850 Purdue alums who have joined the "Purdue University School of Industrial Engineering" LinkedIn group -- please do so today!
An invitation from Purdue's IIE student chapter...
IIE at Purdue is looking to connect with our alumni! Purdue’s Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) chapter has had a long history of success and being one of the top student chapters in the country, winning the IIE Gold Award for 12 consecutive years. IIE continues to provide Industrial Engineering students with professional development opportunities, as well as opportunities to socialize and network with fellow students, faculty, and alumni. We host company information sessions, organize skill builders, coordinate plant tours, participate in community service events, and organize social events and activities for our members. All of these efforts work towards our ultimate goal, which is to give students the skills and resources they need to have an advantage as they apply for internships and full time jobs.
We would like to connect with our alumni in order to grow IIE and take the organization to an even higher level. Our intention is to keep you up to date on what is happening in IIE and hopefully get your input on what we can do to better prepare our members for after graduation. We have created an alumnus Facebook group, “IIE Purdue Alumni,” as well as a LinkedIn group, “Institute of Industrial Engineers, Purdue University Chapter.” Please consider joining these groups. We will be sure to keep you updated throughout the semester. Also, we plan to post pictures from the scrapbooks in the IIE office on the Facebook page, so be sure to take a look!
